FNNBOA has been working with the National Research Council to develop a Technical Guide on Northern Housing. Technical Guide is to provide a user-friendly illustrated guide that would serve as a ‘best practice guide’ on the many aspects of known performing solutions for house construction across the north, covering northern and remote First Nations, Metis and Inuit Nation communities. The Technical Guide specifically addresses the technical housing challenges that the Artic and Subarctic regions face in the construction of new homes.
