Webinar Description

The focus of this webinar is on the financing of homes in First Nations. Discussion will include the financing of homes (e.g., funds from government, mortgages) and financing opportunities for new homes and renovations.  The focus will also be on development/pre construction financing and the importance that financing includes hiring project managers and contractors.

 What students will learn?

  • An overview of financing of homes

  • Focus on topics of financing pre construction activities such as soil testing.

  • Draws against mortgage for new construction

  • Financing and construction conform with building code standards

  • Contractors, renovators and estimators

 Instructional hours

  • Webinar notes/reading materials will be distributed after the webinar. The previous webinar will be an important. Also, take an opportunity review your community existing bylaws on housing and construction.
